About Me

I am first and foremost a devoted follower of Christ and I strive to represent Him well to all I encounter.  I am also a proud husband and father to Claudia Phagan (formerly Munoz, FYI for chess players) and Levi Phagan, respectively.  I grew up in the foothills of the Smokies in White Pine, TN, and did my undergrad at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  I just wrapped up a PhD at Purdue University in West Lafayette.

My wife and I discovered a love for coffee together after we started dating and are now the proud owners of an espresso machine.  Making lattes at home is one of our favorite activites. My hope is that this coffee bit will grow into a page of its own sometime, but for now it’s here.
